Our collaborative projects
Since 2016, we have led, with various partners, collaborative projects to develop the science around our existing products but also for new bioactive ingredients with scientific evidences.
FLAG
Objective: To add value to brown macroalgae through the development and optimisation of a fermentation-based extraction process, with the goal of obtaining active compounds for nutraceutical applications
With a total budget of €500K, this collaborative project includes a CIFRE PhD programme and is partly supported and funded by the Région Bretagne through the Inno R&D Collaborative programme.

Alg4health
Objective: To develop a new bioactive ingredient and functional foods from a byproduct obtained through an eco-responsible transformation process of marine algae, and scientifically and clinically validate their benefits on the cognitive health of seniors and athletes.
Biotech Santé Bretagne and Valorial are involved in this project as facilitators. Alg4Health has also received co-labeling from the Valorial et Agri Sud-Ouest Innovation Innovation clusters.
With a total budget of 3.7 millions euros, this collaborative project is supported and funded by BPI France as part of France 2030.
BrainBooster
Objective: To develop an innovative marine active ingredient that is scientifically and clinically validated to prevent age-related cognitive decline, especially in humans.
Biotech Santé Bretagne and Valorial are involved in this project as facilitators. BrainBooster has also received co-labeling from Valorial and the Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique.
With a total budget of €2.5 millions, this collaborative project has been partly supported and funded thanks to institutional financial partners of BPI France, the Région Bretagne and local communities, Lorient agglomération and the Département du Finistère.
Results : Commercial launch of our Mnemosyss®.

VIPP
Objective: To identify and characterise the bioactive peptides responsible for stress management in Peptidyss®.
The VIPP project has been certified by the Valorial and the Pôle Mer Bretagne Atlantique clusters, with the support of Biotech Santé Bretagne and the Technopole Quimper-Cornouaille.
With a total budget of 900K€, this collaborative project has been partly supported and funded thanks to institutional financial partners of Feder, the Région Bretagne and local communities, Lorient agglomération and Saint-Malo agglomération.
Results: Improved understanding of Peptidyss® and reinforcement of its mechanisms of action through a proteomic approach.

eCabyss
Objective: To develop an innovative bioactive biomaterial from marine bioresources for bone reconstruction.
Biotech Santé Bretagne is involved in this project as a guiding partner.
With a total budget of 115K€, this collaborative project has been partly supported and funded thanks to institutional financial partners of the Région Bretagne.
