SeaMind, the lab dedicated to cognitive health
The SeaMind LabCom has been selected by the French National Research Agency (ANR)!
What is a LabCom?
It's a joint laboratory bringing together a public research laboratory (NutriNeuro) and a company (Abyss Ingredients), allowing them to work together on a shared research and innovation roadmap.
Since its creation in 2013, this program LabCom allowed the ANR to support 250 partnerships in all scientifical and technological fields.

The goal for SeaMind
To develop innovative, and scientifically proven marine ingredients adapted to the food supplement market to prevent cognitive disorders throughout life..
Why is it important to us?
Cognitive health is a major public health issue for our society.
Cognitive disorders, i.e. memory and mood disorders, can have a wide-ranging impact, particularly on :

Quality of life

Risk of developing neurodegenerative diseases

Anxiety disorders
Cognitive disorders represent a considerable cost to society. SeaMind will therefore be targeting the most vulnerable populations at critical periods in life to preserve their memory capital for successful ageing.
A proven collaboration

NutriNeuro Laboratory's scientific expertise
Created in 2011 under the supervision of the University of Bordeaux and INRAE, NutriNeuro ‘Nutrition and Integrative Neurobiology’ is a research unit with 80 clinicians, researchers and students in Neuroscience and Nutrition.
The research carried out focuses on the relationship between nutrition and the brain, with the aim of defining optimal nutrition in humans to prevent the development of neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric diseases.
Training researchers in Nutrition and Neuroscience
In 2015, NutriNeuro set up a transfer unit (NutriBrain) to structure research in partnership with industry, thereby promoting innovation and transfer.
